My name is Jason Markel and I am a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (#112170). Over the last 20 years, I have focused most of my professional life around being of service. This has taken many forms: social services counseling, independent living skills counselor, life coach, energy worker & massage therapist. I started my journey in the healing arts after separating from the U.S.A.F after 4-years of service at The Pentagon as a Communications Specialist. While I loved being part of the military and serving my country, personal growth and the healing arts was my real passion.
I moved back to California after my time in Washington D.C. and got my B.A. in Psychology & Music from Dominican University of California and received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Brandman University.
I am passionate about working with people from all walks of life. I take a Body-Mind-Spirit approach to work and life, embracing not just "thoughts", but emotions and deep, personal purpose. I also consider myself an ally to marginalized people. As an LGBTQ+ person I know first hand what having unconditional support has meant in my life and I strive to give that to others.
