Deep Work - Real Change!
Deep Work - Real Change!
My style of counseling therapy is collaborative and utilizes a spiritual, humanistic approach to creating change in your life. I incorporate many aspects of ancient wisdom in my work as well as more modern techniques blending to create a one of kind experience for you! It is sacred to me to build a unique and individual relationship with each client. With this in mind, we work collaboratively to help you find the deep, lasting change you want in your life!
I promise authenticity. I promise to work with you as the unique individual you are! You are not a diagnosis, you are not a medical label. I believe each person on this earth is special and significant and I approach my work from this point of view.
Life coaching, like therapy is a transformative tool. I offer life coaching that is humanistic, positive psychology and spiritually based and action oriented to help you find and achieve deep, lasting change. Inquire for more details.
My name is Jason Markel and I am a Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (#112170). Over the last 20 years, I have focused most of my professional life around being of service. This has taken many forms: social services counseling, independent living skills counselor, life coach, energy worker & massage therapist. I started my journey in the healing arts after separating from the U.S.A.F after 4-years of service at The Pentagon as a Communications Specialist. While I loved being part of the military and serving my country, personal growth and the healing arts was my real passion.
I moved back to California after my time in Washington D.C. and got my B.A. in Psychology & Music from Dominican University of California and received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Brandman University.
I am passionate about working with people from all walks of life. I take a Body-Mind-Spirit approach to work and life, embracing not just "thoughts", but emotions and deep, personal purpose. I also consider myself an ally to marginalized people. As an LGBT person I know first hand what having unconditional support has meant in my life and I strive to give that to others.
I am currently supervised by two amazing therapists, Dr. Chris Mathe, PhD, PSY25111 and Darla Gale, LMFT 92413 who mentor and guide me. I am available to see clients at Authentic Counseling Associates in Gold River, CA and Darla Gale Counseling in Loomis, CA

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling therapy and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling therapy can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Counseling therapy sessions are held with both couples and/or individuals to provide a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
